Twin Registry Must-Haves: The Products That Saved My Sanity During the First Year With Twins

Creating my baby registry was one of my favorite parts of pregnancy. It was also one of the most overwhelming.
When we found out we were expecting twins, I immediately went down the rabbit hole of twin registry checklists. Every list seemed impossibly long, and I constantly found myself wondering, How are we supposed to fit all of this in our house?
Thankfully, our family and friends completely spoiled us at our baby shower. We had so much stuff to haul home that it took five or six cars to get everything back to our house!
Looking back now, though, I can confidently say that we definitely did not need everything we registered for.
I already have an entire post dedicated to whether you really need two of everything for twins (spoiler alert: you don't). This post is different. These are the twin-specific products that genuinely made life easier during our first year—and the ones I'd happily buy all over again.
Below are the twin registry items that I personally used and loved, plus a few things I wish I had registered for the first time around.
TWIN REGISTRY ESSENTIALS
1. The Twin Z Pillow: The Ultimate Twin Newborn Essential
You would be hard-pressed to find a twin mom who doesn't swear by the Twin Z Pillow.
Seriously, this thing was basically my co-parent during the newborn stage.
Did you know the Twin Z is actually a six-in-one pillow? My favorite use was feeding both babies at the same time and watching them interact side-by-side. During those exhausting newborn months, having a safe and comfortable place to feed both babies simultaneously was priceless.
If you're only going to splurge on one twin-specific item, make it this one.
2. A Twin Nursery Center: The MVP for Small Spaces
I love baby gear that can serve multiple purposes, especially when you're already trying to fit two babies into one home.
Our Twin Nursery Center checked all the boxes. It included:
Two removable bassinets
A changing station
A diaper and wipe organizer
Music, vibration, and nightlight functions
A play yard for later use
When you're expecting twins, products that can do multiple jobs are a must.
3. The Baby Brezza: Because Twins Eat A Lot
The Baby Brezza was recommended to me by other parents of multiples, and now I completely understand the hype.
Twins need to be fed twice as often, and anything that saves time at 2 a.m. is a win in my book.
Being able to quickly make bottles while juggling two hungry babies made those middle-of-the-night feedings so much easier. I know plenty of singleton parents who love theirs too, but for twins, this felt almost essential.
4. A LARGE Diaper Bag
Twins require a shocking amount of stuff.
I opened our diaper bag as soon as we got home from our baby shower and immediately understood why so many twin parents recommended it. I personally use the Large Dagne Dover Indi, but I know that's a bit pricey for some. A good dupe can be found here.
5. A Dual-Car Camera Monitor for Peace of Mind
Skip the traditional baby mirrors and get a car camera monitor instead.
Being able to clearly see both babies while driving provided so much peace of mind, especially when I was traveling alone with the twins.
As an anxious first-time mom, this was one purchase I never regretted.
6. A Twin Nursery Monitor
There are countless nursery monitors on the market, but I specifically chose one that allowed us to either use a dedicated monitor or check on the babies from an app on our phones.
Having the flexibility to use either option was incredibly convenient and made checking on the twins much easier.
7. The Joovy Twin Roo: A Newborn Twin Must-Have
This stroller frame came highly recommended by other parents of multiples, and for good reason.
Picture this: you have a pediatrician appointment during those first few months. You're exhausted, surviving on very little sleep, and somehow need to transport two babies, two car seats, and a diaper bag into the office. Do you really want to carry a car seat in each arm? No. Thank. You.
The Joovy Twin Roo allows you to click both infant car seats directly into the stroller frame, making appointments and errands significantly more manageable. If you plan on leaving the house alone with your twins during the newborn stage, this is a must-have.
8. The Bumbleride Indie Twin: Worth Every Penny
I know this stroller is expensive, but hear me out. The Bumbleride Indie Twin is the Cadillac of twin strollers. I could not recommend this stroller enough. It pushes beautifully, handles uneven terrain with ease, and became one of our most-used baby purchases.
Before buying new, definitely check Facebook Marketplace. I was able to find mine secondhand with several accessories included for a fraction of the retail price.
What I Wish I Had Registered For
Looking back, there are a few things I wish I had added more of to my registry:
Additional crib sheets and mattress protectors
More bottles and pump parts
Amazon gift cards
Restaurant or meal delivery gift cards
Extra diapers and wipes (definitely do a diaper raffle if you are having a baby shower).
Some of the best gifts we received weren't baby products at all—they were things that made our lives easier during those exhausting newborn months.

Final Thoughts on Building a Twin Registry
Building a registry for twins can feel overwhelming, but don't let giant registry checklists convince you that you need everything.
You don't.
Focus on products that save time, simplify feeding, make getting out of the house easier, and serve multiple functions. You can always purchase additional items later if you discover you truly need them.
Twin parents are nothing if not adaptable. Just remember: every family is different, and what works for one set of twins may not work for another.
